On Wednesday, August 15, 2018, local officials joined together with Ogden & Company, Inc., and their honored guests to officially break ground on Element 84, a $44.1 million apartment development set to open December, 2019.
“The Element 84 project has taken quite a bit of effort from many people to get to this point and Ogden & Company, Inc. is proud to see this day, where the vision becomes reality. We are excited about what this means for the West Allis community, as a whole,” said Jon Ross, a Principal of Ogden & Company Inc., heading the Element 84 project.
Significant commitment and dedication was required of the many stakeholders which included: City of West Allis elected officials, CDA and professional staff, US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, Enberg Anderson Architects, Connery Construction, Walker & Dunlop, and Ogden & Company, Inc. to name a few.
Element 84 will be developed on a 5-acre plot just east of South 84th Street and south of West Greenfield Ave. The development will consist of 2 four-story buildings with a combined total of 203 luxury apartment units and 3,500 square feet of prime retail. Modern amenities include a community room, outdoor pool, a sun deck with cabanas, firepit, grill stations, fitness and business centers.
