Ogden & Company, Inc. is pleased to announce the following sales transaction:

Racine Woman’s Club, 740 Lake Avenue, Racine, WI. The 9,939 square foot historic Georgrian Revival style building, originally built in 1930, was home of the Racine Woman’s Club for more than 80 years. The Racine Woman’s Club was founded in 1896 as a literary and artistic group with the aim to enrich it’s members and the Racine area with cultural offerings while developing leadership among club supporters. The building which features a large auditorium space, several smaller meeting spaces and banquet facilities was sold for $225,000. The purchaser is to Meredith WC, LLC. Gordon Steimle of Ogden & Company represented the Seller and John Ryder of Shorewest represented the buyer.

The Janes Building, 201 Sixth Street, Racine, WI – Ogden & Company, Inc.’s Commercial & Investment Division is pleased to announce the sale of this historic five story office building in Downtown Racine. The building was originally constructed in 1900 and was used as office space by both architects and attorneys. The first floor was utilized as retail space with many different uses through the years. The buyer, DuMount Properties, LLC is planning to open Dewey’s Restaurant & Sports Bar on the first floor. Gordon Steimle and Susan Sardina of Ogden & Company, Inc., brokered the transaction. The seller was Racine Badger Building Company, Inc.
